alewis2207's Journal, 02 February 2009

So I got laid off on Friday. It wasn't a terrible thing because I found a new job last week and put in my two week notice. I am losing a week of pay which really sucks...but such is life I guess.

I have noticed a lot of emotional eating lately. Maybe it is the soon-to-be career change? I don't know. Maybe it is the uncertainty or the anticipation. I can't be sure. BUT, I have a full week before I start my new job, so rather than be a lazy bum, I am going to get off my behind and start exercising a lot more and make a conscious effort not to eat junk.

I have really been neglecting FS lately. Haha...I guess if you don't weigh in, it doesn't meant that you didn't gain weight. I'm glad I weighed myself today and recorded it. That little red arrow is frightening but it helps me recognize that I am slipping and I need to start eating healthy and exercising regularly.

Here's something interesting...I walked into GNC today and I asked the nice sales guy to help me find some sort of supplement that will enable me to run longer and faster and with more momentum. He sold me this powder called n.o.x-plode. It tastes absolutely dreadful, but I ran harder and faster than I ever have before. So, I guess it works!

Thanks to those who left encouraging comments for me today. It was much needed! I so much appreciate the optimism!
