Ok so I have done so well this year with the diet. No alcohol or eating out. My concern right now is that I have two good friends visiting this weekend and I just know that wine could possibly be involved. One of two things (or possibly both) could happen if I dont prepare myself.

1.) I could have a glass of wine and it might go staight to my head where I throw caution to the wind and drink more calories in a night than I would normally eat in four days, or.......

2.) I have a glass of wine and start feeling really great about my progress and convince myself that I deserve to indulge in one ( or five ) of my favorite foods.


Or possibly even commit both offenses....Ultimatley I just dont want to let myself down......

It sounds like you are doing great, but you also have to let yourself enjoy life a little! it doesn't mean you can't get right back on the horse.

Eat something before you have that first drink, something of substance, could even be hot oatmeal, I have that before I go out to a party or something hot that is filling and not too many points. Progresso has that soup now with the WW points on the can, you can have a whole can for only 1 point, that is very filling. I find if I have something in my stomach I am more in control. I also find if I find a place to stash my glass I will tuck it away and then go back and get it, that way I sip it as the night goes on rather than drink it like tea or pop. In-between reclaiming my wine glass I drink water, it helps me, I hope it helps you. Have fun girlfriend.
