Melissa7802's Journal, 27 January 2014

Well, day #2 of hell at home.... I don't know what it is...but its been dreadful the last 2 days. Hoping for a better tomorrow. I did eat a good amount today..but I tracked EVERYTHING!. I also drank a ton of water... I was down another pound this morning.. so far its 6 pounds in 9 days... I will take i, even if it is mostly water weight!

I am determined more now than ever to prove everyone wrong.... I will not be defeated by the negativity around me. I have always let it get the best of me and this time, I won't! I do find that being able to keep journal is really helping me.. plus the feedback from everyone really helps... its sad that I feel more comfortable opening up to complete strangers about how I feel than the man I am supposed to marry... makes me wonder if I should even get married... maybe that is a mistake... lately, i just feel slighted and I want to feel special and important... I deserve at least that.

I did not do any exercise today.. I might do my Wii Fit when everyone is asleep... I will have to see how much energy I have.. all the fighting has me drained... Tomorrow will be a better day!!

Awesome job on the weight loss! Seriously, you should be proud! By the way.... I looked at your journal because you said you ate a good amount of food and I have two observations. 1) you must really love breakfast because except for the pb&j snack you ate breakfast foods all day long haha. we are exact opposites because Id prefer to eat dinner 24-7 ;) 2) you are well below your RDI and it does not seem like you ate a lot. Finally, can I just say that you are already really beautiful right now the way you are. You have pretty eyes and love the hair!! (Wish I could wear bangs. I cut some recently I looked crazy and now its finally growing out, thankfully because I was holding them back with hair clips the entire time!!!) I can see why your hubby is being a butt. When you become a skinny minnie (and if you keep with this you WILL be)... You are going to be a stunning, head turning, jaw dropping 10, and he's probably scared of losing you. Us girls we wear our heart on our sleeves... And know how to communicate our feelings. With men we usually have to decode their actions to figure out why they are acting like butt-heads! Next time he tries to discourage you... Smile and tell him how handsome he looks today. better yet... compliment him often for the whole day, about EVERYTHING before you mention anything about your diet. At the very least you will confuse the heck out of him (funny!) but possibly it will start to click in his head that you arent going anywhere and that maybe he should start complimenting you as well. You know kill the enemy with kindness (not that he is the enemy but his negative attitude sure is!) if that doesnt help improve things tell him in a sweet and calm voice that you just might spit in his food every night he says something mean or discouraging, bwwaah ha haha! <--thats my evil scientist laugh (disclamer... Do not really spit in his food, it will just make him think twice before he speaks stupidly). Im being silly because its 230am and I cant sleep, and just waiting for 630am so I can do my 2 week weigh in. but hey... Honestly, Ive tried both tactics and they both work on my guy temporarily.

@Jess... THANK YOU! You just made me feel alot better! I generally don't eat breakfast that many times during the day! But, there was no food in the house last night and didn't feel like going to the store! I have to make it a point to cut out the bagel in the morning and I will probably see even more of a difference! I have been weighing myself almost every day which I probably shouldn't do, but I feel compelled to do so. Keep up the good work on your end too!!! You are doing great!

Keeping motivated is key to reaching our goals. Always remember that you are doing this for yourself. Let the negativity around you push you harder to focus on your goals. And if you feel like it's about to get to you, just post it here. We are all here to support each other. =)
