Almost every year for the past 11 years, I have vowed to loose the extra weight that I gained in 2000, 30 kilos to be exact. This decision usually happens in January, right after I've just gained another kilo from the holidays. No matter how much I try, I just haven't been able to maintain my losses. Every year, I'm managed to get down to 89 kilos by the end of May. Then, summer comes, when most people loose weight...but not me!! I put it all back on again by the end of August. I exercise more in the summer, because I swim, but why do I gain the weight again? I cut out the sweets, the chips, the fried foods, the fat and still I don't loose! I need help. Last year I even hired a personal trainer to come 3 times a week to get me jump started with the exercise program. This helped, but then June came, I was off to the States, and back to eating foods that were from the supermarkets. Still, I tried to not over-eat...but the nightly snacks of nuts and ice cream won! Why do I do this to myself. Even when I get back to healthy and regular meals, the only thing that happens is I maintain the weight I'm currently at. I don't gain, but I don't loose either. I usually cook my meals at home, so it's not like I'm a junk food junky! I cook with fresh and whole foods, but sometimes I'm so tired that I'd rather not eat in the evening. Then at some point the hunger strikes...10pm or so, and then I find myself in the kitchen eating plain bread with butter!!! I know. I need help! Could someone give me a simple diet that works! I'll follow the diet.
I have two knees that have decided that I've done too much and now I have the pain constantly reminding me that the weight isn't helping.
Where should I start...besides here and now???
