I woke up today and decided that I needed to get a control on my weight before I completely lost control. It is going to be extremely hard, because my husband doesn't understand how my being a little overweight affects me mentally. He continually brings home junk foods. They are everywhere around our house. I know that I have try to stop hiding from them and not let them control me. I need to be able to see them and not give into the temptation to eat one. I hope that joining this support group, today will be the day that will help me to conquer my goals.

Tuesday, December 30
Breakfast: one cup of coffee and a cup of total cereal with skim milk.

Lunch: One open face sandwich: whole wheat bread, 3 slices of low fat turkey and four small carrots and a large glass of water.

Excercise: 12 minutes cardio with Denise Austin and then I went on a walk/jog around the river that is about a mile from my house. It was a total of 5 miles. Came home and had a glass of water.

Dinner: 2 cups of steamed rice, 1 cup of steamed veggies and a glass of water.

It sounds like you are in a good place and ready to make this work. The weight loss will make everything in your life more enjoyable. Continue to work on hubby because that junk food is hard to resist. If you cant get him off of it, make him stash it in the garage, his car or at work. Sit him down and tell him that this means alot to you and you need his help and support to succeed.

Thank you both for your caring comments. I am looking forward to making some friends here. I have been working on my husband and his snacking habits, but it's pretty much a losing battle. I am just going to have to learn to live with them in the house and try to overcome the temptation.
