Well, looky there. My bar has changed to yellow finally. I am up .1 lbs since yesterday. The scale indicates it is water fluctuation. This is part of the reason I don't weight myself every day. But, I had a "weigh in" blaring at me today so that I could log it for the billion challenges I've elected to participate. Ok, not billion...just three remaining. I like these challenges because they do keep me on track. But maintaining all this separate data like ounces of water drank, every step taken, whether I do two running intervals per week that include sprints and whether I have eaten only healthy food each time I have opened my mouth gets to be tedious for me. I am going to track my food, because that keeps me in check. And, I am going to keep running because oddly enough I find it as a great way to expend my pent up inner anger demons. I don't view myself as a constantly angry person. But, when I do get angry...hell hath no fury like 2ManyCurves. Running helps me refrain from doing or saying things that I will regret. After all, it is hard to talk nasty to people when you are gasping for air.

Approximately four weeks until we leave for our family vacation cruise. I absolutely cannot wait. I don't care if I have to pay $12 per class for each fitness class, I'm signing up for spinning, boot camp, trx ripped training and maybe even a personal trainer as soon as I boar the ship. Merry Christmas to me. I don't know about yoga. I get that Yoga is big and I hear how everyone speaks of it being beneficial. But, 12 bucks per yoga class can be combined to form at least one good deep tissue massage which I believe would be equally as beneficial following all of the other classes. I cannot wait to sit in whirlpools, steam rooms, get a body wrap... I will obviously have to spend some time with the family too but I am going to try to carve two hours out of every day for just me. As selfish as it may sound, I need this vacation too.

It is going to be a short, three day work week. Can I get an "Amen!" Lots of things to do today. Tomorrow is a filing deadline and we are expecting a winter storm, so I am going to get everything completed and filed today, with hopes that I will be snowed in tomorrow...thereby making it a 2 day work week. I have promised to help my son work on his college scholarship apps this week. One is due next Monday (and it is a huge scholarship) so we must get right on it this week. Otherwise, we will be working on it Thursday. I'd like to shop some Friday. I have most of the Christmas presents purchased, but there are a few things I would like to pick up. I have bought my son nothing. At 17, all he wants is money. But, I enjoy watching the surprise on his face when he opens an actual gift on Christmas Day. Money and gift cards just seem so impersonal. The family cruise is obviously the big Christmas gift for the family, but I want them to all have a small gift to open as well. Just something small, inexpensive but thoughtful. I don't mind giving cash and/or a gift card too. But for me the actual gift is what I really put my heart into and it is so much more surprising than simply money.
