Hey everyone!

So after the drastic water weight loss, I gained a bit back this week just from my body getting used to Atkins, I guess. I didn't want to record a weigh-in at 223 when I had one at 219 the day before... but now I finally buckled down. I'm at 220 right now, so I think I will get back to 219 and below in a day or so.

Me and my future roomies put in applications for an apartment that is in the heart of downtown... if we get the call for the lease, we'll be moving in NEXT MONDAY! Can you believe it? That's so crazy to me! I'm definitely ready to get out of my parent's house and be on my own.

I think my diet will be tempted more if I live with two girls, because inevitably they'll want to go out to eat and go out drinking. I want to go with them, so I'll just have to be good :) Plus one is an EXCELLENT cook and I want to eat her food... just not right now. I'll just make them stay away from my section of the fridge until I can start allowing other foods in (halfway done with week two of Induction but I usually do an extended Induction for another two weeks).

That's about it for today, girlies! (and guys!) I'm off to work now, bright and early, so I can take a longish lunch if needed to go sign a lease :)
220.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 50.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

Getting an apartment was one of your goals for this month. I hope it works out for you. I found that when I lived with roommates if I stuck to my plan I would usually positively influence their lifestyles too, especially if they saw the results I got. Just don't let them influence yours. It can go either way. Just make a contract with yourself that you will take care of YOU. Good luck and enjoy your new apartment and with your new roomies. Make sure to set house rules from the beginning, especially when it comes to money. Moving in with friends really shows people's true colors, it can strengthen friendships or it can break them. With some clear boundaries you are sure to have a great time. (Just some "big-sisterly" advice from someone who has been there.)

Sara has some great advice. I have lived with some great people and have also lost friends because of living arrangements. Make sure ALL of your names are on the lease. That is my biggest piece of advice!! I hope you get the apartment - it should be a blast. And I know you'll do fine on your diet.

We're having a roomie rules meeting tomorrow morning before the bank opens so we can go get our cashier's check for the deposit. It turns out we got the other (completely identical) apartment that was for rent, so we aren't moving in until Christmas day. Another reason to be looking forward to Christmas! I've lived with these girls before so I'm not too worried. We all have jobs (plus the other two girls have their parents paying rent) so I'm sure the rent will always be paid on time! We sign the lease tomorrow :D
