Starladesiree's Journal, 05 December 2008

Last night ended badly. With 4 slices of veggie pizza. I mean, it's the healthier option of pizza, I guess, but it's still pizza. I should have stopped with 2 or 3 slices. And today is off to a bad start. Sonic for breakfast. Thought I was making a decent choice with a smoothie and a breakfast burrito, and just eating the inside, not the tortilla. Still not great. I'm already at 700 calories today. The smoothie is deceiving! "Non-fat, fruit, blah blah blah... but oh yeah! We add a ton of sugar!" Screw you, Sonic. Oh well. It was my choice... I will have to be good the rest of the day.

It's getting hard. I feel hungry all the damn time. I try all the tricks to curb it by eating high protein and fiber, chugging water, etc. But I seriously think I just have a black hole for a stomach.

I don't know what to do. And my lack of motivation at work is spreading like a soul-sucking parasite to other areas of my life.

Yep, for sure on the smoothies on having tons of added sugar. But they lure us by emphasizing on how it's fruity. Try not to stress out over food. Remember you're doing this for your overall health, and not just for weight management. So plan your meals ahead of time and make your own meals so you won't have to eat on impulse at fast food places. Also get an exercise program going if you don't have one. I wish you well buddy.

Could have been worse... the large shakes at Jack-in-the-Box (my kryptonite) are near 1500 calories. That's more than some dieters would consume in a day.
