I'm feeling so much better today. I guess nursing myself for a whole day really did help. I'm still no 100%, but I think I will be by tomorrow.

HOWEVER...and this is a big however...I gained 2.5lbs!! Oh, I love that. I just can't believe it - I hardly ate anything for the past two days. I think my body is wack. Yesterday I ate about 6 cups of tea with honey, 1 bowl of chicken and rice soup, 2 slices of cheese, 4 stalks of celery with peanut butter. That was it, THE ENTIRE DAY!! That just seems like nothing. And yet, I gained weight. What is wrong with my body?

So I'm convincing myself that I'm retaining water and that it will come off quickly. It just makes that 10 lbs before the end of the year thing very far away. Now its 12.5 lbs before the end of the year.

But tomorrow I'm going to get on the stationary bike and do my yoga. I may try to do a little yoga tonight, too. That may be a good way to transition back to being well.

Tomorrow is pie baking day at our house. There is usually lots of crap around to eat when we do this. But this year I volunteered to do the food. So we are going to have veggie dip with an assortment of vegetables and BLT dip with cheese chips. I'm also making veggie tortilla wraps and corned beef tortilla wraps - instead of the usual sandwiches. I think everyone will love them.



BREAKFAST
1 boiled egg = 1C
1 small sausage = 0C
1 cup of coffee with h/c = 0C

LUNCH
1/2 cup tuna salad = 4C

DINNER
1 tilapia filet with seasoning = 0C
1 cup of cauliflower = 2C
2 tbsp butter = 0C

SNACKS
2 sugar free turtles = 1C
1 breve latte = 0C

TOTAL = 8C

OK, Paige......take a deeeep breath.......in through the nose and out through the mouth. Do that at least five times and it'll help you relax because Dr. MB says so!!!! (No charge by the way...hee hee) I'm sure it's water retention since you have been sick. Think positively. YOU WILL WEIGH 10 LBS. LESS BY THE END OF THIS YEAR! Keep hanging in there and stay the course! Good plan for the upcoming week with exercise and Thanksgiving foods! YOU GO GIRL! :)

Paige, I know you know this, but when we don't eat enough and our bodies are under stress from an illness we can gain weight. I always gain weight when I get sick. Especially if I get the stomach flu and can't hold anything down. It goes away after I get better and start eating right again. You'll be fine. Great plan for your baking party! Love it!

The only "almost good" thing about being ill is that you don't care to eat that much. I always lose weight when I'm sick, even if I cheat on my diet because my calories are still so restricted. Don't freak out yet. Weigh yourself again when you're better. What does the dr always tell you to do when you're sick? DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS because our bodies get easily dehydrated. Your body is more than likely just holding on to all that water! No problem. Concentrate on nursing yourself back to health while being mindful of what you eat and I'm almost willing to bet you a $100 that it's just water.

You don't have 12.5lbs. Drink lots of water as it's just some bloating, maybe from the carbs in the honey? You're fine, don't get discouraged!
