Ugh, I won't be getting my desired loss this week. My husband has assured me that after having two great weeks I was due for a slow week. However, I am only human, and this is frustrating. I'm trying to think of things I can do differently next week, a big one is fiber. Money was extremely short last week, so the grocery budget was like fifty bucks. Feed a family of four for fifty bucks... not pretty. So I didn't get all the veggies I desired. I will makes sure to get those in next week. As far as the gym, I have not disappointed this week. I have worked just as hard as I always do, sick or not. Whatever the reason, my body just wasn't cooperating this week. I'll work on my plan for next week and hit the ground running.

On a more positive note, my daughter said something to me this morning that made me very proud. My daughter is slightly overweight, she has been literally since she was two weeks old lol. One of my reasons for wanting to be better was so that she wouldn't learn from my negative examples. I mean lets face it, when you hide from your kids to stuff your face things need to change. Anywho, the last seven months or so I've been trying to teach her about nutrition: fiber, protein, fats etc. Her school has started serving breakfast this year, and believe me they are trying like hell to sell it to the kids. It was an immediate no-go for me, I already pay out the rear for her lunch, not buying breakfast too! They had a free breakfast day to try to lure the kids into bugging their parents for the "healthy and nutritious" breakfasts from school. Cassidy told me this morning "For breakfast at school yesterday they were serving French toast and donuts, how is that healthy. Where is the fruit and the protein" I was very proud. I hope someday this leads to her making good decisions!!!

Thank god it's Thursday, I hope everyone is well :-)

Your hubby is right, things sometimes slow down a little after a couple of good losses. And, you've been sick so your body just may be out of sorts this week. Next week though you'll probably see another good loss, since you've been hitting the gym still. Another thing to think about is do you need to change up your gym routine? Sometimes mixing things up a little there helps too, if you haven't done that already. Teaching our kids how to be healthy is important and I'm glad your daughter is learning. Good for you Mom!!

You are doing a GREAT job. Starting new job...dealing with kids...lots of stress and then not feeling good on top of it. You will get your results...be patient.

I understand being results oriented. It is hard to do the work and not see the benefits. But honestly, for me - you reaped a great benefit when your daughter told you about the breakfast. By not just teaching her about good nutrition but showing her a positive and healthy lifestyle you may have saved her a great deal of pain and struggling. Even if she becomes morbidly obese (unlikely with you as a role model) - she will know how to get back on the right track. She will have seen her mom do it and have the right tools. You are definately winning in my opinion - scale monster be damned.

:-) Thanks! I am definitely trying to be patient. My husband told me I look skinny today when he came home for lunch. I feel skinny, rocking my tank top and scrub pants lol. I guess this week my reward is just going to have to be how I feel, although it's hard to flaunt how you feel! Finally starting to feel healthy. Bought some airborne, always seems to do the trick for me. I don't know how much I could change up my gym routine mars, I always do forty-five minutes of cardio followed by 20 minutes or so of upper and lower body strength training 3-4 times a week. I'm a beast!! lol Sometimes I do elliptical, sometimes precor, depends on my mood. Being fit is a new and exciting thing for me, so my gym time is important to me. Thank you for the kind words about my daughter. I don't want her to go through the same things I did. When I was an overweight teenager my mom didn't know how to help me lose weight, not her fault, but I'm hoping that by sharing my knowledge with Cass she will never end up starving herself of any of those nasty things. Hard work and dedication. We will see what tomorrow brings. Your support is priceless, <3

It's great that you've worked out while having a cold. Doing the workout probably made you feel better too! And somehow you perhaps feel stronger?? Kudos to you for teaching your daughter about good eating. It's nice to know that she has a good role model and is listening! Now, stop stressing about the scale and just keeping going!

I always feel stronger after a workout, but more than that I feel accomplished. Thank you aggie! Tomorrow is my official weight in, and then I'm going to make every effort to put the scale up for a full seven days. It's going to kill me :-)
