I know this month will be a bit hard to figure out since surgery and no gym. What I’ve found out this month is 250 kcal over burn has me staying the same or a half pound gain. It seems my walking/steps are up but that’s probably because of the back to school night, orientations etc.

Next week I’ll start volunteering for AR so I’ll get a few more steps in that day walking around the school, but it’s also an hour of sitting so I’m betting it evens out.

With the gym I was ok at 100-300 over burn. Without the gym I think I should stick to 100-200. Because we all know I’m not gaining muscle sitting on my rear 90% of the time.

Dr told me today that I’m on restriction for another two weeks. I was hoping one week but figured he’d say 3 so 2 is good enough. Said my stitches are weak so I still have to be careful. No pushing, pulling or lifting. I should’ve asked if I could go to 10#, but he was in a hurry and I was so surprised he was on time. First time in like 3 years lol.

Thanks :). I don’t see or feel stitches so they must be internal. Had to carry limbs this weekend and felt it pull. Won’t do that again!

It must be hard to be patient but it is good to be safe.

I am sorry you have to go slowly, but I guess that is better than having something be damaged when you are trying to heal. You are doing great!

Last night I my incision/scar was itching so I lightly rubbed/scratched it. A small scan came off 😳. There was a tiny bit of clear liquid. Not sure if I somehow pulled it open, which is doubtful. Or if it’s not healing well because I’m not active right now or perhaps a dissolvable stitch hasn’t dissolved and is pushing through. I’ve had the later happen once but I could feel the stitch. This time I can’t but the scar/incision is thicker and puckered this time. Makes me realize there is a fine balance on being active yet not being active lol. Tuesday I’ll be off restrictions although I’ve already been carrying groceries in, lifting the larger cast iron skillets, carrying laundry baskets etc. Trying to slowly work up the weights I’m carrying which may be a bad thing but I just can’t see going from 5# to normal overnight.

Oh dear... Do be careful. And I'm with Ireland. Do you need to get things checked again? You are a beautifully fit lady. Waiting longer to get back to working out won't make any difference in the long run. ♥️

I’ll have hubby look at it later. It’s hard to see since it’s on the underside of the breast. If he can get a picture of it I can see how big it is. If it’s small I’ll put on some Neosporin and a bandaid. If it’s big I’ll get out the gauze and I think I have a larger padded bandage. I’ll probably call the drs office next week. He’s only in that office on Tuesday afternoons. I can also send him a pic if we can get a decent one. I don’t dissolve stitches quickly and have had one poke through before. Then he had me bandage it with bacatracin (mine has expired) and it healed on its own. He will probably call in an antibiotic as well unless it’s a tiny spot like I’m thinking it is.
