I was trying to weigh myself only once per week. But, yesterday, I felt compelled to jump on the scales just to see where I was at the mid-week point. I did not get to exercise at all Monday due to a family emergency that landed us in the ER most of the evening. I was feeling pretty guilty at taking a day off. Surprisingly, Thursday's mid-week weight showed a drop. So, I am hopeful that I will continue to drop and not be as frustrated about the situation as I was when I weighed in Monday. I feel as if the past two weeks have been so jammed pack with work, exercise, events with the kids and other obligations that I just simply am not getting enough rest. I don't feel tired as in fatigued. Actually, quite the opposite. I feel energetic. Yet at the same time, I think if given the opportunity, I could sleep for several days at a time. Today is the 27th. I had originally hoped to be down to 215 by Oct. 2nd. Later, I revamped that mini-goal to 219. I know it is only 4 pounds difference. A month ago, I would have felt confident that I could drop 4 pounds quickly. Now, I have to work for each and every pound. In light of my Thursday weigh in, I do think I will reach 219 by Oct. 2nd. I am going to have to exercise quite a bit this weekend. I actually look forward to weekends though as my opportunity to fit in more exercise since my day is not usually cluttered with things like work. Fingers crossed that I will drop 3.6 pounds over the next five days. I get that a lot of it will be water weight. But, I know how my mind works. I have to see a drop to keep up motivation.

**On another note, I found this adorable cotton with ruffles white blouse in my room this morning. The tag said 2X. I was trying to figure out where the blouse came from as I did not recall buying it. I put it on with my skirt and found that while it was form fitting more so than most 2X blouses I've tried on, it did fit and was very flattering. I walked out of my room after getting dressed to hear my teenage daughter exclaim "You're wearing my shirt!" Hehehe. I had wondered where it came from. Apparently the tag was a 2X Junior. I'm still wearing it. She needs to watch folding clothes and leaving them in my room. I'm going to start stealing her cute little blingy jeans too when I can fit in them!
