This morning I woke up feeling very rejuvenated. My pinky toes are blistered and somewhat painful. But, I earned those blisters!!! Saturday I walked 8.5 miles and Sunday I finished out the weekend strong with a walk/jog of 4 miles. While I was brushing my teeth in the mirror this morning, it occurred to me that my goal isn't to merely lose weight. I want to run! I want to ride horses and not feel like my butt is bigger than the horse! I want to climb mountains, ski down mountains, water ski, sky dive, white water raft in the rapids of the Gauley River, and scuba dive in the Caribbean. Hey, if you are only going to live it once, life should be an adventure, right? Losing weight is just a pleasant side effect.

So, here are a few of my mini goals:

Color Run in October (yep, next month)
Run four (4) 5K races between November 2013 and March 2014
Take classes to get my scuba diver certification
Mini-marathon in May 2014 (13.2 miles)
Rugged Maniac Run - Sept. 2014

***I know this list of mini goals will continue to grow. But these are the things I am immediately determined to complete. The future never looked more promising.
