Today was a wonderful day but I am so sore today (good sore mostly). After yesteday's cleaning extravaganza, my husband made me sleep in (I think he felt bad he didn't help..I was happy he got to relax for a change). First thing I noticed while getting out of bed...back was REALLY stiff..specifically lower back which had been bothering me since Monday after carrying groceries and the lower back exercise. Yesterday's cleaning didn't help it. I did a bunch of stretches and took two advil. My knee, which was really hurting yesterday, was just minor sore today. Taking caution but keeping it moving helped and now (evening time) it is ok. My lower back is still sore. I have yet to do my floor workout (will after this entry) but I am skipping the lower back today to give my back some time to heal.
Today was another busy and great day. My husband's 100 year old grandfather and cousin came to visit and I made everyone a nice breakfast. After that, my husband and I took a train into Manhattan and spent about 3 1/2 hours walking about. There was a food thing going on at Rockefeller Center and we shared two items and had some ice cream. After that we went to Times Square to go to a movie theater and saw Pacific Rim. I enjoyed it and the much needed airconditioning (it was almost 100F here). When we got home, I didn't feel too tired so I took my dog for a 30 minute walk for the Walk for 30 minutes with your dog for 4 days a week. This makes day 3/4 per week :) Tomorrow, I plan to go out early in the morning with him. I like that I got the 4 days done early in the week. This allows me to choose if I want a long walk with him or not. He is enjoying it --just not the heat as much.
Interesting observation: Been craving dairy products. I see this as a definite sign that my body composition is changing (lean muscle building and added bone density). Excellent. I must remember to have at least 8 oz a day of milk. Osteoporosis is in my family and walking/exercising is a great way to prevent it.

Anyway..long journal but I enjoyed typing it. I am going to go do my floor work out now..but if I have issues (pain-back) I will stop. No sense injuring. Hope whoever reads this had a wonderful day.

Anyways you are moving a lot, that is great, i do have a lot of issues with my back too, i remember the only time i felt it correctly was after some sessions of Yoga. It is amazingly good for the back, i didn't know it until i went there. As per calcium, the best way that your body acquires it, is by the combination Vitamin D3+ Magnesium + Calcium. You can find this products in a Bio-Shop, and are really safe. I take this every morning because i have same family background. :) Ok this was too long :P Enjoy your day!
