Had a whole can of chunky soup for lunch. 260 kcal :). Knew dinner was going to be lower calorie so I went all out on the snacks today. Had 8 McNuggets and two candy bars. I’ll about even out today for in vs out. Still down around 400 for the week. Saving those for another day.

Went to the dr today. She said I may have a rib contusion (fancy word for bruise), but since I didn’t bruise and there’s no swelling then it more likely a rib displacement. So I probably have 2 dislocated ribs. Nothing to do for it except rest, ice and ibuprofen. They’ll work themselves back into place. She poked and prodded and it didn’t feel all that bad at the time. She said I have a high pain tolerance. Turns out the pain came a few hours later. I feel like it just happened again. Oh and by rest she asked that I avoid the gym for 1-2 weeks. Legs only if I MUST go. I said okay and I could tell she didn’t believe me lol. So she said to rest as much as possible and only do what I must. Before I left she got me to agree to no ab work or deadlifts for at least a week. That was yesterday so I could honestly agree to wait a week on those :).

Oh I'm sorry about thos darn ribs. Your daughter is just so strong! Runs in the family? 😁 Take it easy, like your doc said! No use delaying your healing.

Thanks! She’s pretty strong for someone who doesn’t lift much. She takes after her daddy (muscle tone) and doesn’t know her own strength. I’ve been laying around a lot but still lifting what I can. Found out pull-ups are a no go lol. 2 was all I could get and it hurt! The Advil gave me my first good nights sleep since it happened so I’ll keep taking it at night for sure.
