Ugh....gained 2 - 3 pounds over the weekend. I've come to the conclusion that I cannot allow myself a 'cheat day' because I have no self control. I overindulge entirely too much, and end up making excuses for myself after the fact.

I have another visit to PA coming up the second weekend in August, and my mom got us tickets to the Chippendale's "Thunder from Down Under" show (eg. hot, half naked men who are gay, more likely than not). I'd really like to lose more weight by then, and I need to stick to my guns, not allow for any excuses. I'm trying to take it day-by-day, small successes. Yesterday I made it home from work around 7:30 and found I had enough energy for a few rounds of Dance Dance Revolution. Was also pleased by the fact that I managed to not snack while waiting for dinner (that's typically where I end up bingeing on fatty foods like chips or cheese).

I typically hit the gym Tuesdays and Thursdays, but this week on both days I have kickball practice for my company's field day type thing. We had a day of practice last week (ran about an hour or so) and I was surprised at how sore I was the next day! I don't think it burns as many calories as the gym, but it feels good to do something different. I'm just hoping I can keep up, as I'm giving blood at 3:15 today. I've already decided though, that if I'm not feeling well after donating I'm going to either skip practice all together or cut it short.

LOL!! OMG you're going to have so much fun at that show! Understnd what you mean though on cheat days, they get me into entirely too much trouble.
