Pretty darn proud of myself and I think the last two days have been difficult for me.

Started my goal of losing 65 lbs and doing daily exercises. I am at day 4 officially of what I considered my start day (I started food logging early, just because I felted motivated to do so).
I have lost 1 lbs so far, mostly due to diet changes. I mostly cook my own meals (from scratch) so I have been adding most my recipes into my cookbook and pre-portioning them out based on the calories. My husband is my biggest supporter and does all the portions with me. I use salads as fillers for portions that are smaller because of calorie count (Ex: We had eggplant parm the other night that generally is higher in calories -even though I oven fried the eggplants, so the portion I served was smaller and to fill the stomach, I made a salad).

Yesterday was the first day that I got consistently hungry after 1-2 hours of eating. I am normally a grazer, nibbling while I study [candy is my downfall..chocolate the worst] and an emotional eater. I put that to a stop. Now I realized I don't have enough snacks (low cal) in the house and am planning on stocking some fresh foods.

What I have been doing is if I get hungry: Wait 20 minutes to see if it will pass. If it doesn't pass, drink water. Still hungry, eat something. We are also not eating our meals after 6 pm (We didn't do this anyway) and the snacking afterwards is controlled.

Tonight, we are going out to dinner with some friends and I looked at the menu ahead of time and figured out what I wanted to eat. I "penciled it" into the food diary as a large approximate of what I think I will be eating. I am giving myself a margin of error of 400 calories for anything unexpected and plan to take food home. Problem with tonight is that it is at 8pm (only time the friends are available) and it is 5pm and I am very hungry. Having an apple to tide me over and sliced it small so it looks like a lot and slows down my eating.

Pretty proud of myself. I hope I can maintain it. I have also done my elliptical machine every day for the challenge (4 days in a row).
