This weekend is diet days off, since my mother is in town.

I took the ferry to work today, which means that I had access to the fabulous gourmet markets at the San Francisco Ferry Building. Among other things, there are Miette pastries, Rechuitti chocolates, and all manner of fabulous sweets. There is also Boccalone (tasty salted pig parts), and, and... I could go on.

So what do I get for lunch when I can have anything?

- A fresh roll from Acme Bakery
- An organic apple
- Two kinds of cheese from Cowgirl Creamery

I didn't buy that because I was trying to restrain myself. Rather, those were the ones that appealed to me most out of all of the fabulous choices.

And I must say that it is an exceptionally tasty lunch.
