My husband and I made Turkey Burgers for dinner last night. He was iffy about it since he loves his red meat, but I told him if he seasoned it right he wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I cut up green onion and red pepper and mixed it in with the Turkey before grilling. He put onion, jalepenos, ceranos and green onion in his. They came out DELICIOUS!!! He was shocked that Turkey could taste SO good and he said that he would have them again. I was so happy that he enjoyed the food, I was worried he wouldn't like it. My husband is naturally skinny (about 130 lbs) and is very picky about what he eats (red meat and potatoes mostly). But he knows that my weight loss is very important to me so it makes me feel good that he is willing to eat healthier foods with me to be supportive. :)

Sounds great!! Last nite I tried to do a turkey meatloaf. I used a packet of onion soup mix, bread crumbs, onion, mushrooms, a little shredded carrot, & 3 egg whites instead of the 2 whole eggs I normally use with ground beef meatloaf. I'm not thrilled with how it turned out. Flavor was just ok, kids seemed to like it a lot, but me & DH were kind of "meh" about it. It was very loose & crumbly. That could also have something to do with the fact that the defrosting in the microwave partially cooked parts of the turkey. Anyway, trial & error, right? ;)

I have a recipe for turkey meatloaf, I haven't tried it yet... My mom makes her regular meatloaf with bacon on top and on bottom, I'm now wondering if I could do the same with turkey bacon. Line the pan with the bacon and then put it on top... Might be good ;) And yes, everything is trial and error. I've tried things and they have not turned out at all. It's hit or miss. But the things I've hit, have been a home run! :)
