Today is a new day, time to get it cracking!!! My motto is one day at at time, one habit at a time. I'm proud of myself, I have developed the habit of drinking green/black tea every morning with lemon and honey. It has become ingrained and its something I enjoy. Today is a new day time to incorporate a new healthy habit into my new lifestyle. I will only eat what I buy for the grocery store, no more fooling myself into thinking I'm eating healthy at fast food restaurants . Yesterday I had a healthy diet throughout the day, got really hungry on my way home from work, so I stopped by KFC for some grilled chicken, I mean that couldn't be too bad right? Wrong! somebody put a biscuit in the box! It was soooo good. Too good. So I've decided to stop putting myself in comprising positions with food, no more eating out period! Only on special occasions with friends. Have a great day all, I'm a on my way to work that biscuit off!

Hello, thanks for the buddy request. Hey, I understand what you're saying about eating out, but I've found the opposite to be true lately. For me, I have made an effort to figure out a few fast food items I can get. I've looked up the calories, and they aren't bad. You just have to follow a few rules. Of course, you don't want to do it every day, but I am constantly running around, so I can't always eat at home. I do agree that meals prepared at home are best but if you find yourself in a situation where you're hungry and can't get home right away, consider these options... grilled chicken ceasar salad from Zaxby's, turkey burger from Burger King or Hardee's (order water, no fries), the smoky honey mustard flatbread sandwich at Wendy's has 370 calories (again, no soda or fries). Of course, it's totally up to you depending on how many calories you want per meal/day. But, I believe that everything I suggested has 530 cal or less. In my experience, I've failed over and over again on diets because I was depriving myself of great tasting food, and preparing salad after salad just got old, so I quit. Just never get to whole meal or the bread on the side. If you go to Zaxby's avoid the garlic toast at all cost lol. That's just my two cents. Good luck!

Your welcome, thanks for accepting my buddy request. I noticed we were both the same age and starting around the same weight, so I thought it would be cool to hit you up. Thanks for the feedback, greatly appreciated. However, no Zaxby's here. But you are right, there are reasonable choices at some fast food chains, I just have to be reasonable. I did good yesterday, I went to Kentucky fried chicken, again..... but this time I ordered 5 wings, no biscuit. Hey every little improvement counts. The funny thing is it cost me almost 10bucks, so I think I will stay away for KFC for a while. Thanks again.

lol. KFC is a no-go in my book (for healthy food) I love it, but if I go there, I have already made up my mind that I'm going to cheat for that meal. I just go ahead and get the original recipe with the mac n cheese lol. I'm good most of the time, but I'm just not going to go the rest of my life without fried chicken and mac n cheese lol. Keep in touch!

You don't think the grilled chicken is a healthy choice?

No, I'm sure it is. I didn't mean that, but what can you get with it that's healthy on their menu. I'm not gonna just eat a piece of meat and I don't like their green beans, so it just doesn't work for me.
