I may have discovered myself to be an emotional eater.

The boyfriend is out of town for a week or so getting work done on his car, and I've been all out of sorts having the apartment to myself (well, myself and the cat). The first three days he was gone I overate. Past overate, to the point of making myself sick. Never done anything like that before, and it rather scares me.

On the upside, my new job offers phone counseling for various things (smoking cessation, weight loss, kidney issues, etc). I had my first coaching session last night with Misty (my coach). I'm feeling hopeful and positive about this, because it just might be the thing I need to keep my ass on track (figuratively & literally). We discussed my history, current projects as far as weight loss, and what I'd like to work on. Came to the actionable item of making sure I stick to 1800 or less per day while continuing to hit the gym/DDR 2 - 3 times a week. When I binge out I tend to not report it on here, and I think that knowing I have someone else to be held accountable to besides myself will help me to stay on track. I realize I should be able to behave while being accountable to myself alone, but the discipline in lacking. Maybe this will start me out on some better habits. I have to check in wtih Misty in two weeks (4/10).

New job is going well. I've found that while I'm not a fan of having people angry with me over the phone, I'm having an easier time handling it mentally...still working on getting the physical stress reaction under control (trembling in my chest, ice cold hands, stomach knots), but I'm hopeful that that will come in time. The couple performance reviews I've had have been positive, impressed with my ability to take feedback and react to it immediately.
