Herbie's Journal, 23 June 2008

We had a great time camping out this weekend, and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. They were good campers and enjoyed being outside, sleeping in the tent, and hanging out by the campfire. My 3 yr old (who would be naked all the time if we'd let her) was especially intrigued by the idea of peeing in the woods. Go figure.

I got some decent exercise hiking with my pack and carrying my tired or reluctant 3 yr old, but I also had way too many carbs and not enough veggies. I feel bloated and need to get back on track. I had a phase 1 day today, which I feel good about. I plan to keep up the phase 1 diet for a few days at least and hopefully will see some progress.

Sounds like a great weekend! These are precious moments! It's good that you got some good exercise in. Good luck with phase 1 :)

You make me wish I still had little ones at home to sit by campfires with! It is sooo hard to stay on track during summer, with visitors, travel, campouts, fishing trips and such!! You're getting right back on track and I really think thats just the ticket! you'll lose those lbs in no time. You know how to work it gal!
