I had an interesting weekend. I went to a charity event and met up with some old friends. One of them had had weight loss surgery a few years ago. She had the sleeve done which basically cuts out part of her stomach and prevents her from eating as much at one time. She lost about 60 pounds, but thst is all. She wasn't very happy about losing so little. She decided not to get the bypass surgery because she didn't want to take vitamins her entire life. She is a sugar-a-holic just like me and still eats a lot of sugar. She also doesn't exercise at all. She didn't have to go through a waiting period prior to having surgery like I did. I'm beginning to think that my waiting period was a blessing in disguise. It has helped me develop better habits and learn a lot about myself and my body.

Well, my basement is officially a mess because it is in the process of being convert to an exercise room. I'm hoping the flooring will be completely done by the end of the week then I can start painting. By next week it will be completely finished if all goes well. I bought a wii fit game with some dancing games. I hooked it up upstairs just to see what they are like. OMG!!!!! am I out of shape!!!!! I sweat like a pig after only 15 minutes and am completely worn out. I will have to say one thing though--it was fun. I got Just dance 4 with the wii and that game is more advanced then I can manage at this time. I like gold's gym dance game because I can keep it on tutorial or beginner until I get in better shape. I also have wii fit plus which I have not tried yet because I having hooked the balance board up and probably won't until the basement room is done. I think the wii games were a good choice and I will have fun using them to exercise to. I'm looking forward to having my home gym done and ready to go. I'll post a pic as soon as I get it done. My colors in the room are quite lively--neon green one one wall with a pale yellow on the other three walls is what I'm planning. I found a poster on amazon that I bought that is a boxer puppy in boxer shorts and boxing gloves standing in front of a boxing ring---How cute!!! I'll be putting that poster in my workout room. It was funny, but while I was working out upstairs trying out my new games, Copper thought I was playing with him and he was jumping around and exercising also. Crazy dog!!
