I'm doing poorly on my diet and I think I need to try something different, only if because I do better when I have that "new diet" excitement. Does anyone have any recommendations for a lower-carb diet that is different than Protein Power (which is similar to Atkins)? I'd appreciate the advice.

South Beach is similar with a bit more flexibility and yet, more fat restrictions. It's been very successful for many of us! I suggest grabbing a cheap copy of the book or get one from the library and taking a look. Feel free to ask us "beachers" questions! :) I hear ya about a new diet being appealing and getting the head back in the game. I get myself into a rut and it's hard to shake things up. Good luck!

South Beach. It's the only diet I've had success on. (besides being vegan) I think you should really check it out. It's only limited for the first two weeks. I am always here. Let us know what you decide!

not only is south beach the only diet I have been able to succeed on and stick with, its also made dramatic difference in my and my husband's health. Our doctors are amazed at the differences. It's a good diet that is easy to live with and dine out with.
