Fairly large meal of homemade mac and cheese along with a cooked chicken breast fillet. 639 kcal and 55g protein for this one meal. My tummy is satisfied but my mouth is not. Time for some jawbreakers.

It’s easy to make 😉. This is a 2# bag of shells, 1 cup fat free skim milk and a whole 32 oz block of velvetta then pepper to taste. It turned out way thicker than usual. I like mine more runny so next time I’ll add 2 cups of milk. Normally I just cover the shells with milk but it’s hard to log that lol. My aunt uses a whole half gallon of milk for hers I think. Oh and this will be two meals. I’ll make up some ground beef and add it in when I reheat it for a homemade hamburger helper and add some seasonings. 🤤 😋

Thanks for the recipe! I do love me some Velveeta! We knew we’d come up in life when we went from buying the no-name mac ‘n cheese all the way to getting Velveeta shells—sometimes even when it wasn’t on sale! 😜😊

Lol true. That’s one thing I never skimped on. It was kraft Mac or velvetta shells or nothing. Several times it was nothing 😉. The generic brands taste too powdery for me. They now have packets of already melted velvetta just like in the shells and cheese! I considered those but I’m frugal and hate spending extra money on things like that when I can make it myself and save the money for something else. Hubby thinks I’m silly. Things like canned veggies I prefer Libby’s which isn’t name brand and I like any brand of frozen veggies. It’s just tuna and mac and cheese that I have to have the name brand always. Heck I even prefer some of the generic brand chips over the name brand because they are less greasy (some of them). Your welcome for the recipe! My aunt never wrote hers down so I’m experimenting trying to get close. Hers is “a bag of noodles, enough milk to almost cover the cooked noodles and a partial block of Velvetta” lol.
