Egg rolls?? 😍

Yep! Hubby makes them using eggs and sausage. Dislike normal egg rolls but love these!

This looks fantastic! And it’s pretty cool he can make homemade egg rolls! 😊🎈

He is pretty awesome! Especially since he is finally on the site and tracking his calories. Less stress for me when he cooks! Now he weighs and measures everything 😁. Except that he fries food a lot so it’s hard to estimate the oil. 🤷‍♀️ I just log one serving and hope it’s accurate. He made homemade schnitzels for lunch today but he and I had plain patties with tots and skipped the egg, cheese and chili. *gasp* he considered keto but I think I’ve talked him out of it. He will be lower carb than normal but he likes his potatoes, rice, bread etc too much to go keto and stick with it. It’ll be fun doing this together 😁.

Cool!! That is the most nerve wracking thing about not cooking my own meals. No one keeps track of what they add!!! My mother gives me nightmares! Sticks of butter drowning me!! 😂😂😂 I usually make myself a completely separate meal 😰 She gets so offended 🤷‍♀️

Oh yes! Most on my side are tolerant and some are even so helpful that they save barcodes for me to scan or take pictures of labels so I can find it on here. His side I’ve learned that they’ll be offended or not. Not much I can do lol. Certain foods I don’t like and some I can’t eat (unless I want to be in the bathroom for hours after). If they insist on those foods then I’ll eat what I can and that’s it or once last year I brought fresh veggies in place of dessert. The main one irritated is the same one that shares a meal when eating out, skips appetizers and limits desserts at holidays and says she’s dieting constantly yet never loses weight. For years now. Some major snacking going on at home 😉 I think. They add powdered sugar and water to veggies for heavens sake lol. Strawberries always have a sauce or whipped cream. Same with pies. 🤷‍♀️ Decided last year that I don’t make them eat my way so they should be be upset that I bring veggies, have smaller portions and skip dessert 😉. So freeing! Yet with ones mother it can be a delicate situation for sure. Mine would’ve just teased me or threw up her hands and said ‘go make what you want’ lol.

Hubby has, here lately, been doing his best to try and keep track for me. He hadn’t learned what foods need to be weighed before or after cooking though. Now he’s finding that out and I think it’s sunk in more. He started reading the men’s muscle book I bought him and realized he was only getting about 100g of protein. That’s what I need! He’s been chugging shakes today lol. I believe he is cutting (2500ish when 3300 is maintenance) and still plans to build muscle 3x per week. The shakes are lower calorie than constantly eating hamburger and a change from chicken. The man who hates chicken breasts is considering a mostly chicken breast diet to see what happens. This should be interesting 😁. I remember chicken daily until I just couldn’t stand it anymore and started gagging when I smelled it lol. Time to introduce more tuna sandwiches. If you’re reading this, Hi honey! Guess you know what’s for lunch next week 😁.

😂😂😂 yeah that is the way my family eats as well. At least during the holidays. Butter and cheese on every single vegetable. And they got mad at me one year because instead of green bean casserole I made sautéed green beans with caramelized onions 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I can see their point. Skipping the green bean casserole?? Lol joking. That’s one thing we usually bring to every Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner.; 5 in total. I do have some now but it’s a limited portion rather than half a plate. Sautéed green beans sound good! I’m not big on onions but the hubby is so I’d pass them to him 😉. The casserole for us is just tradition. If they didn’t want it I’d still take a small one for me. I double the recipe for each dinner and for hubbys side I make two double batches. My side could probably use just a single and have leftovers now that I’m not eating so much of it lol.

Yeah they were not happy that I decided to screw up Christmas dinner 😈😈😈 But my aunt brought one too so it’s not like they didn’t get any. That was the year I made a big fabulous looking cheese cake that was reduced sugar and made with low fat cream cheese 😄😂 It actually tasted amazing but they are such brats half of them didn’t even want to try it #moreforme They missed my usual cheesecakes 🙄

Next time don’t tell them ahead of time 😉. I don’t think you ruined it, just my opinion. And as you said, there was another one. I’ve found that I’m not a cheesecake person. I grew up with a cheesecake pie that’s good but actual cheesecake not so much. It’s the caramel and chocolate on top that I like so I can get that other ways.

Don’t tell them about the change in the cheesecake I mean.
