jaime30024's Journal, 02 January 2013

Well all the holidays are over with and no more time off. It was a great four day weekend, and came to an end way too soon.

I woke with a screaming headache...I think it is a horomonal migraine (I get them sometimes) because when I close my eyes the aching subsides. However, I also woke with a stuffy head and it could be a combination of sinuse pressure.

It is freezing outside...as much as I want to get out and walk....not going to happen. It is bitterly cold for my Southern Blooded self her in the Pacific Northwest right now.

So gave in some to the cravings lastnight...the sodium was not good with the boiled peanuts, and then had a tbsp of no sugar added peanut butter. I definitely need to get some more Russel Stover sugar free chocolates in this house...those help me when I am craving sweets.

As suspected a small weight gain but I know it will be off tomorrow. I broke it down and if I lose 5# a month that is only 1.25# a week or .17# a day then I can be where I 'think' I want to be by June or July. Of course I will be evaluating along the way but the best I have ever felt and looked (wasn't when I was 158#) was when I weighed around 178#. I know the body changes over the years and such but that is the idea I have in my mind. Mid July or late July (my birthday) will put me there at the rate of loss that I mentioned above.

I hope everyone has a great day,

Although I'm on the east coast, I agree it is FREEZING outside! :) 1.25 lbs a week sounds like an excellent loss and very realistic. Some weeks you'll lose more then that so even if you do plateau, I think you'll be where you want to be/feel (or at least close to it) by summer. If nothing else, we'll be far closer then we are today if we stick to plan and that alone is a good thing!

Thanks Sue you are right! Northeast is having a cold time right now...that is for sure! My family lives in Georgia and I think they are colder than they like to be too!!

I think it's freezing every where right now lol. I know it's freezing in PA!! Welcome to January's freeze is what I've always said. It's usually like this for the next 6 weeks...ugh... I'm on the same path as you, if I can lose 5 lbs a month that will put me at my goal weight by June. Here's to us getting there by June!!

Cold here too ~ I hated the $$ for the treadmill but know I'd definitely not have kept up my 2x daily walks through all this cold if I had to go outside. I hope that .17# a day calc works for you; my scale is having a standoff against the logical calculation of 'fewer calories consumed converts to weight loss' rule of thumb. Ahh well, spring is just around the corner. Have a great day!

Mrs. H sounds like what we were talking about yesterday.....prepare to freeze for the next 8 - 12 weeks!!! Here is to us getting to our goals by Summer!!! Bella - I like to tell myself that sometimes the scale doesn't move because my body is getting acclimated to this new weight and then it will start to dip again. Here is to your scale getting some sense and you seeing a drop the next time you step on it!
