Agreed, a small stumble. We all have done it. Chocolate & Pepsi are my true weaknesses. It seemed impossible to me to go without them, so I don't..per se. I have found that sneaking a swallow of Pepsi, or a single chocolate chip help A LOT. It gives me the satisfaction of the taste, without the guilt as I am only doing it once every few days, or maybe even weeks. Just when I really feel I might plow face first into a chocolate cream pie - I reach into the freezer & pull out a chip, then I walk away. I savor the taste, the richness, the sweet. I let it melt on my tongue to process & savor. I do the same with Pepsi, a swallow @ a time.
As for the holidays, when offered sweets - I close my eyes, sniff, exhale, swallow, & deline; OR I share a small piece with my daughter. Good luck & good work so far!
