Took a day off from exercise classes, did shopping and baking instead. Put on a Latin pop music station & boogied my way around cleaning house & mixing up and baking three kinds of cookies; Praline Charlottes, Twin Chocolate Delights, and Orange Cranberry Coconut Oatmeal.

All was well, ate healthy, didn't eat cookies. Until my partner got home and taste-tested for me; my resolve broke down. The orange cranberry are amazing, the others pretty good. Had to guess at what to record since I didn't enter the recipes in my cookbook.

I'm taking a box of cookies to my neurologist when I see him tomorrow. Thinking about taking some to my Zumba instructor ; she has kids if she doesn't care to eat then herself. I need to frost the praline ones, & don't know if I can get it done before class, its cooked frosting.

I took some of my last batch of cookies to my Monday instructor who wanted to eat them during class, lol. She's pregnant & looked hungry. My partner took the last of the peppermint bark cookies to the office; hope they enjoyed them.

I know cookie baking is a weird hobby for someone who wants to be healthy and fit; I just enjoy the whole process, from finding or creating good recipes to seeing the enjoyment people get out of my creations. I used to make chocolates, but gave away all my molds a few years back; too labor-intensive. One of my neighbors still talks about the chocolate house I made for her...

I was happy to see the weight dropping off me again; getting close to my lowest again. I think the gain was mostly water; I've been peeing like crazy! :o) i'm feeling trim and fit. I'm noticing muscles and bones that were covered in padding before; all the Zumba and Silver Sneakers Strength and everything is really paying off. Hope those cookies don't bring any padding back!.

My neighbor came over to borrow some food coloring; she's baking, too she's taking eclairs to a newrby senior center, so I offered to send some cookies along, too. My neighbors in my apartment building will be happy to get some, too. Gave some to a bell-ringer the other day to eat on her break; she was delighted. I'm a cookie elf!

I can understand, I used to make chocolate as a hobby and I also liked to bake. In order to loose weight, I have chosen not to buy an oven for the flat I am living in. So, all the cakes/sweet stuff I can make without baking are not among my favorites. My home-made chocolate molds, thermometer and tools are "buried" below lots of other stuff, so I don't get to see them often and don't feel tempted. It's a good trick giving away all cookies! :)

sounds like you are doing Awesome!!! Maybe I will have to put music on and dance around when I bake instead of just listening to a book! I will burn a whole lot more calories if I am dancing!

KC - once again, I swear we were separated at birth! I actually find myself cooking MORE now that I'm trying to eat better. MH actually asked 'what's up with the baking and all the production' (( I'm plating every meal as if it were being served in a fancy restaurant rather than just slopping it into a bowl )). I find it's kind of the 'Sam Malone in the Bar on Cheers to cure his Alcoholism' method. the more I invest in the preparation of the food, the less I feel I need to actually EAT it. I absolutely love the mental image of you dancing while you baked - I bet you even used a hand mixer instead of electric!
