After entering in all of my foods today it looks like I just barely went over the 20 NC/day. 21.81(if I remember right) I also drank milk this morning. So it looks like the only thing I'll be having after 6:30pm is water. I may eat a spoonful of something that's no carb high fat if I'm just absolutely starving. Overall it's been a pretty good food day. I have done really good about NOT getting on the scales today. I'm trying to wait until Thursday before weighing again. I don't know if not seeing is the best option for me but I'm going to give it a trial run and see. I'm hoping that I'll see a larger drop from one weigh to the next and therefore be a little less discouraged. It's also a test to see if I hav enough self restraint to "behave" well enough to still have losses between weighs.

**random life rant--today feels like one of those days that everyone is plotting against me--including myself. Today is when my midterms are due and everyone keeps asking me to do things for them or they want to have the tv, radio, telephone and another conversation all going at once while I'm trying to study and work on homework. I also shouldn't have put things off until the last day. Ben is bouncing off the walls--generally happens when I least need it! END RANT***

Hey Rachel - very good on your foods today! Water after 6:30 is not a bad thing...I tend to drink a lot of water in the evening (yes I do get up to go to the restroom) but I think the benefits are well worth it. It is worth a shot to get on the scales. I think if I didn't have a digital scale I would probably not weigh as much. Everyone is different in what works for them...for me I weigh a few times a day...lol. Probably OCD but when I don't weigh I don't do as well. I know if I weigh a couple of pounds over my morning weight (during the day...like about 30 minutes ago!!!! hahaha) that I am doing good. At bed time (after all the water) I know if I am 2 or 3# over then I am doing good. If am about 4# over and I had high sodium then I know I need to really pony up on the water and it helps push me to do so. Funny how the mind works on us!! You know that is the way it always is when we are really slammed...that tends to be when we have most of the distractions and most of the people wanting/needing something from us. I have no doubt that you will get it all handled and done beautifully so!

Thank you Jamie! That is great information on the scales. That's kindof how I do it too but I'd like to be a little less dependent on the scales. As for the slammed packed day..I did finally manage to get dad to go to bed and mom to watch TV and the baby in bed! FINALLY at 9:30pm I finished my midterm. LOL That's so frustrating sometimes.

I don't like to be dependent on the scales, either, Rachel. They mess with my mind, as you know lol. I know it's hard to concentrate when there's so much going on around you, but like Jamie said, you handled it very well :)
