kmartdollie's Journal, 13 November 2012

I had to do a biometric screening at work and I just got the results back. My A1C for diabetes was 5.0 - BETTER than a normal person having normal blood sugar. My average daily glucose was 96.8 - again, BETTER than a normal person with normal blood sugar. My triglycerides were 90 - down from 444 10 months ago. In fact, the last time I took them, they were 155 and my hardass doctor still wasn't satisfied. Now they are 90. Whoo hoo! My blood pressure was somewhat high - 138 over 80, but I was super stressed out at that screening. I didn't fast for the blood sugar, I was drinking coffee with milk in it, and I was so ready for static - I was going to be like "I AM A DIABETIC I CANNOT FAST FOR YOUR TEST, DEAL WITH IT!" No one questioned me, though. It was also stressful to stand in line for all of that crap. Usually in my doctor's office my blood pressure is 120 over 80, which is normal. So overall, I think I did fairly well. Of course I scored off the scale for stress - I work at a suicide prevention line, so yeah, my job may have something to do with it. I took the day off from the gym - I was going to go run, and I woke up with sore muscles, so I decided not to. I have to go to the doctor, and then I am going to walk the dog later. I am really, really going to try to do better on the calories today. I am eating at night and that is jacking up my calories. I need to reign it in, bad. I really would like to be a size 8 in the next 3 months, and I know that is not going to happen unless I buckle down.
