So I've got my eating under control - I've kept within or right close to my calories for 7 days!! That is a HUGE accomplishment for me, because it's been a long time since I burned more than I ate.

I've realized it's more of a decision about what is important to me. Is it more important to have the instant gratification of eating food, or is it more important to live a long healthy life.

Over the past 8-9 months, my decision had been the instant gratification of eating food. The last week, I've made the decision my long term health is more important.

So this week was focused on eating healthier and within a reasonable calorie range. Next week, I'm hoping to incorporate exercise. It's a bit depressing that I can't do the length of workout or intensity of workout that I could a year ago, but that's okay. I've been inactive for a while, so I need to start from a lower level of fitness. 20 minutes of working out is still GREAT!! It is way more than I'd get sitting on the couch and is a step towards 30 minutes, then 45 minutes then back to my hour workouts!

And I did a small workout today - only 25 minutes and walking pretty slow on the treadmill, but slow and steady wins the health race! :)

they say that it only takes three weeks of actively getting back into your fitness routine to get back to your previous level after a 6 month break! Take heart - you will do it!!!! I am looking forward to the new season of biggest looser - they were some of my best workouts and all because of you!!

LOL... Thanks Krys! I agree, I do workout better when the biggest loser is on because I'm motivated that if they can do it, I can do it too!
