I'M BACK!

To everyone who actually reads my journals on a regular basis (and yes, there are a few of you-thanks!) I appologize for not having been very active on the site the past few weeks. As I wrote in an earlier journal, I was involved in a pretty severe car accident, leaving me with a broken foot and a broken rib on my chest. For the most part, I stayed pretty upbeat about the whole thing but we all have our days. The worst part for me was not being able to exercise at all during that period. I pretty much had to lie on the couch and watch TV or movies most of the time. No walking. Definitely no physical activity (although I did do some one-legged pushups!)

Well, I'm finally out of the cast and back to working out. My foot isn't totally healed and due to the nature of my break, won't be for about a year. That hasn't stopped me from trying to get back into the routine of things. I can't quite go back to my P90X yet, but I worked some extra hours at work and got a Wii which I've been using pretty much daily now. I can do about 5-6 jumping jacks as well and am working on going up and down stairs. I even took the dog I'm watching this weekend for a decently long walk, or rather he took me for one.

Overall, things are going well. I'm shocked that I didn't gain a bunch of weight during this whole thing. I'm actually down a couple pounds. The BEST part is that I'm currently in SECOND place in the Sexy Ladies Biggest Loser competition that I'm in. I have about 20 days to kick it into gear and make it to the top! SO EXCITED!
