Wow. Three days of technical atkins - switched over from fat flush, and I've lost 3 pounds. I've been drinking a gallon of water per day and exercising thirty minutes every day - even did weights on tuesday - although just one rep of about 10. I use this site for recipes - found a great one for eggplant pizza. The thing about atkins is I can get burnt out on the meat and eggs. So I try to avoid that by making my dinners different, although breakfasts have been mainly soy pattie with coffee and cream, although yesterday morning i had a three egg white, one yolk omelette (only cuz i don't like the yolks) with cream cheese, fresh dill and lox in it). For lunch I usually a romaine salad with 2 T each of feta, cucumbers and litehouse garlic caesar. Man, it is so good. i wish i could throw some gyros meat on it, because it kind of reminds me of that...or tomato, but since I know i'm sposed to avoid tomato for awhile, even if i did put a T of unsalted tom sauce on each eggplant slice before i topped it with with cheese and a portobello and baked it for 20 minutes. talk about yummy. god. (make sure you oil the pan first - i did it with hazelnut oil.) the night before i had stuffed chicken. to die for. i want scallops, but they're so dang expensive! god. like $15/pound! what is up with that. i would get just a half pound, but can't see spending $7.50 when i could spend $2 on chicken or beef. Salmon would be about $5 (for a half pound)...Anyhoo, things are going good. I'm not even feeling deprived, which is what I need if i'm in it for the long haul. another treat - at night - good earth herbal tea. YUM. I hope to get in a yoga class as well this week...I WILL lose 60 pounds...yay!

Once you're off induction try eating lots of low carb vegetables too. It might slow down your weight loss, but I for one have done it. I found a store in my area that sells shrimp in huge bags really cheap - lucked out. I have avocados too from there when my friend takes me - the store is twenty miles away but we save a fortune shopping there as everything is so inexpensive there. The meat is cheap there too, next week I won't have to get any as I have leftovers from last time I went there last week in freezer bags. This is the only way I've been able to lose weight - I'm staying on it for life - the maintenance plan and everything. It's worth it not to be starving. Don't think this lifestyle change is all eggs and bacon and only meat too! That is the false impression everyone that doesn't know about Atkins has about it! :)
