Well i started Atkins this afternoon. It wasnt easy being at the movies n not being able to eat carbs so i had chiken nuggets ONLY with a diet soda.Couple hours later i was hungry again...but im determined this time so i hope this works, since ive done atkins already n its the only thing that seems to work.
But im thinking of even having one slice of brown bread at least in the mornings only, i dont think that would set me back, i hope not.Anyone ever tried that and seen less results?

If you really want Atkins to work for you, then you have to follow induction by the book. Those chicken nuggets were probably coated in bread crumbs increasing the carb count. You will continue to be hungry as long as you are continuing to eat carbs. If you follow induction your hunger will decrease and so will your cravings. Eat lots of raw veggies from the accepted vegetable list and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Good luck!!

Bread will keep you out of ketosis. Diet soda has aspartame that makes you hungry and can bring carb cravings back. Please read the Atkins book (again, if you have already) to really do it by the book so you get the most out of it. This is an all-or-nothing plan, really. WDS is right, if you cut those carbs out completely you will stop craving them. There is plenty to eat on this plan without feeling deprived, it just takes some planning and creativity. Next time you go to the theater, bring some sunflower seeds or salted almonds. Those aren't induction friendly but they won't kick you out of ketosis. Good luck!

You can go to the Atkins website and get all the information you need on what is ok during induction. Some great snacks that are induction friendly are pork rinds. You can also snack on fresh veggies and ranch dressing. I'm no longer on induction - but I eat pecans daily. They satisfy my need to crunch and are loaded with fiber. There are some great recipes right here on fatsecret. Check them out. Keep your fridge stocked with induction friendly foods and make sure you drink plenty of water. You can do this!
