I'm still a little sore from my first short run in years that I did yesterday, so I did my usual 4.5 mile walk slowly.
I felt so much like having breakfast today. I wasn't exceptionally hungry in the morning, nor do I normally eat in the morning. Lately, now that I've got my routine down, I never do, eating in the morning being a thing of the past, back when I was putting on weight.
But breakfast is a state of mind that is determined by the food we eat. Sometimes I just want breakfast, and so I can have "breakfast" at any time of the day, just as in a restaurant that serves breakfast at any hour.
I'm gluten-free, so the days of toast are long ago. A couple of small pieces of sweet potato (from the supply of ready-to-eat veggies I keep in the fridge), a dish of grapes, a scrambled egg with black pepper and hot pepper sauce, and 2 breakfast sausages. My boyfriend had more sweet potato, more egg, and rice. He doesn't care for grapes, so they're all mine.
Maybe when I reach my goal I can increase my intake by eating a small breakfast. I love breakfast.
