On May 24th I set a goal of losing 14 lbs by June 30th. I've lost about 6 lbs over the past 5 weeks. Not what I wanted, but not bad either. Actually, as stressed as my life has been lately I'm amazed I didn't gain it all back! Here are the stats as of today:

Weight: 143.5
Waist: 31 3/4"
Hips: 39.5"
Thigh: 22 1/4"
Body fat: 37.5%
BMI: 25.8

Everything but the hips are down a smidge. I've lost a total of 3/4" overall - I think I can do better. I will have to wait a while longer for that dress, oh well. I can't really afford it before July 21st anyway. Hopefully my granddaughter will be out of the hospital by then. She's hanging in there, such a trooper. My hubby is feeling a bit better, but sadly there's been no weight loss. I am going to the gym for a run in a few minutes. He is going to try walking on the treadmill, see how long he can go. Do what the doctor says, sip sip, walk walk.
143.5 lb Lost so far: 7.5 lb.    Still to go: 8.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You are doing well. I think at your weight, 14lbs in 5-6 weeks was a stretch. 5lbs is much more realistic and you achieved that. Keep up the good work and you will lose 5 more this month.

I'm frankly a little jealous of you because your waist and thighs are reducing faster than your hips. Keep up the good work!
