Oh I am not sure I should have actually recorded this weight because my scale is being quite psychotic this morning!! I weighed 193.4, 195.4 and 198 at various times this morning. So ... this might be inaccurate but I decided to take it. After all ... even if it isn't totally accurate I will indeed weight 193.4 at some point, right? Now, just to remember not to get frustrated that I don't see another immediate drop!!!

Yesterday was a good day but exhausting. 2 hours of relationship therapy, an hour drive, 2 hours with another family, an hour drive, grocery shopping and then home. Love the work with the families but by Friday my brains are usually butter-like anyway ... then add the elk incident and I was one tired puppy.

Slept "okay" last night. Woke up several times but that worked out okay because I added wood to the fire. It is chilly here ... below 20 ... so it is nice to keep the house toasty. Rumor has it we are in for some snow today. The forecast yesterday called for 12-24 inches above 3000 ft. Our property sits at 3500 ft. We'll see. They are often wrong. But ... if it does snow it means hubby will be working tonight instead of having his day off. Maybe tomorrow we'll get to the movies.

The powers that be did not approve my consultation outside of my role as an employee. Rats. Instead, they decided I could work for the other program and just code my timesheet to their program. I was bummed at first but as a dear friend reminded me I should not be surprised. As long as I work for the state it is highly unlikely that they will contract with me ... why should they? I am their "human resource" right? I feel like cattle. But, I decided to be a team player and see the positives in the situation. I still get to do the work and that will continue to build my reputation for excellent work. I will learn something through the process. I refuse to think negatively about this.

Did I tell you my car is in the shop? Well it is. Might be done by next Thursday which is very exciting. I am such a creature of habit. I miss my car. The owner of the shop gave me a ride home on Thursday. He is very nice. It is a new shop, just under a year, but the owner has over 20 years experience. I think they will do a fine job. We live in a very small town so reputation means a lot. It is the way businesses get built.

So I have nothing particularly exciting on the horizon for the weekend. I SHOULD go to the dump and "de-trash" my home. No garbage service up here in the boonies. We'll see. I of course will do the laundry and other little things around the house. Oh, yes ... pay bills. And perhaps work a little on my ideas for training. Doesn't that sound absolutely entrancing? Okay, no. I know. Boring.

Grateful I am ...

... for the arrival of another weekend,

... still for having a relatively safe encounter with my elk,

... always for my coffee,

... getting through each day with kindness towards myself,

... and overall ... life!!!

I hope the weekend is relaxing, rejuvenating, or whatever it is you are hoping for yourselves. May chattycathy find a house to buy!!!

Take care!!!

Carol, sorry to hear about your contracting dilemmas. It makes it awfully difficult, doesn't it, to take a step toward your own practice. I hope that you find a way to make it work for you. Have a great weekend and don't you worry about that psychotic scale.

Know a shutterbug that would be wild with excitement taking photos of your wildlife at such close range lol. Good heavens what are they doing to your car all those days?? Lol the cattle comment - being a public service employee I can relate. ;-) Good to hear the weekend has endless possibilites.;-) And thanks for putting a smile on my face...still grinning.:-)

LOL made me laugh the psychotic scale...but I would always take the lowest weight...just the way I am, but mine is pretty good don't have any problems with it moving around, it also seems to agree with both doctors scales. Sometimes nothing exciting for the weekend works...just relax and enjoy.

Carol, I would take that weight also...my scale is stuck...I think it has just decided that it will just sit there and watch me try to figure out why the heck it isn't moving! Well, sooner or later I will have the last laugh!!! LOL Enjoy the rest of your weekend, my awesome, wonderful, elk jousting friend!! Love ya!!
