UGH!! TOM and right on time too, every 28 days like a Swiss watch. Hubby commented on the fact that I don't seem to be having the mood swings these days, and he would know! I have a friend who just had prostate cancer surgery so I have been running back and forth to and from the hospital to give his wife a bedside break so eating and logging has fallen behind. I started off with the intention of increasing both my calories and carbs but I have discovered that when I get into a time crunch it's just simpler to skip the meals. Hospital food and vending machines and fast food joints just have no hint of attractiveness to me. I'm guessing that this is not a bad thing! :) He goes home tomorrow so I'm hoping things will ease up as home is 5 miles away as opposed to the hospital being 80 miles away. Ya'll have a great day!

I agree with you in situations like that, not eating is better then eating bad. I tend to justify the cheat and off I go. So congrats for hanging tough and being so sweet to your friend at the same time.

It sounds like your hormones got a long-term fix. While inconvenient, I'd see that as great news! It also sounds like your journey has fixed your tastes in a positive way. Keep up the good work and commitment!

I'm a little jealous, Fertile Myrtle. My final TOM was 2 months after my 51st birthday. It's nice to be done with pads and moodswings, but there is a little grieving involved as well. You are a good friend in your lucky community ☺

ahhhhhh, home before dark! They let him go home this evening so life will resettle again. Thanks for the support guys! @Kes...yes! It's a good thing...I think :) Lady, I could say goodbye to those two things and never grieve, but all of the other beni's of pre-menopause living are lovely gifts! The two pounds will vanish in about 4 days along with all of the rest of the bloating and the zit on my chin!!!! Grrrrr!
