We all have our ups and our downs. The thing is, this is a process, and we just can't let the downs become a habit. Best of luck to you!

It will be okay you just have to show the new scale who is in charge :)

Oh well you haven't been yourself lately since you became ill. Plus you have this going for you.. you still are a very beautiful lady... you haven't lost that...lol my silly husband always says that to me and it doesn't help when Ive gain weight over the holidays and I just give him the stop look. But I just wanted you to smile...have a good day:)

roflmao syndi . The shock will wear off, its only a number. I just need to be more mindful of what I am doing. I will show the darn thing who is in charge.

I understand thoroughly....I once gave a brand new scale to Goodwill because I didn't like the number. One of these days my old scale is going to croak and I will be scared to death to step on a new one. I may be like one of our FS friends who tried out scales until she found one to her liking..... You have had a great deal on your plate this past month....once the weather improves and you are able to get out and run, that number will come down to your liking....

You have to practice weighing at different times to get the right hydration and body fat % since it is so variable

Someone told me yesterday that they were told they were too hydrated. Don't know if that's possible, but if we drink and pee it would follow the downward path. You've got a lot on your plate. Be kind to yourself.

Also Nicholaix.. if I get on my scale and it stated that I had a big increase.. I had better gained some inches back too..I always measure myself more than weigh and Im now down another I/2 inch less. I had put my size 8/29 a.n.a. skinny jeans on to check my progress the other day and they fit nicely... even kind of loose, I also had bought a pair of the same type jean only smaller, its size 6/28 and they fit like my 8s two weeks ago not bad at all. So I know the scale wouldn't be correct if there was an increase when I weigh in and then as they say ...I would KICK that stupid scale to the curb!! and out it would go to trash collection lol.

I try to use the pants also as my gage as to how I am doing too.. But my hubby keeps drying them to much in the dryer sooo.. dang things don't fit..:( "hence. Pants don't lye" :))

I still fit in my new clothes lol. I was thinking about what you said syndi, the only comment worse than "you are still a beautiful woman" crap, is the "if you lost 20lbs you would be gorgeous". I am actually more upset by the bodyfat% than the weight number. I have gained 5% bodyfat over the winter despite losing 20 lbs. I know it's the bad weather and being sick for so long but geesh. How does that even work?

I totally support ALL you ARE DOING and ALL you have accomplished. Totally agree with you about people (men) who want to focus only on the "outer person".ALL of us are so much MORE than the "outer shell" we "wear." Wish you every success on using this new "tool" and others will have to comment on the "body fat" item...I might be there in another 18 months...maybe...Keep on Keep on Nicholaix, You encourage us all! :)

LOL....what I meant was I might be to the point in 18 months where I even begin to think about % of body fat..not that I would have a "good" one..:)

Amen successthistime and I have raised my daughter that just because your beautiful doesn't mean a thing... as far as who you are you must show who you are by your character and honor, love, and kindness and she is all that and more. So many times people will not see who we really are because of our looks but here on this site we are all equal and you can show your heart towards humanity that is why I love it such great people. Have a great day everyone hi ho hi ho its... off to nursing I go... here are my two 12hr shifts again lol:)

lol Success I am sure your % is most likely better than you think it is. Syndi I agree wholeheartedly. Because of my experiences I tried to raise my daughters that way as well. I really like it here and regret that i didn't participate more sooner.
