Day 6 - I'm still going 😜 132 hours fasted. I skipped my electrolytes yesterday because I got tied up with a dog issue and was running late, so I just grabbed my water jug and ran out the door. I can feel the difference, I'm a bit sluggish this morning with a very slight headache. Note to self, don't skip the electrolytes! Other than that I feel pretty good, eyes popped open at 5:15 same as yesterday. My work alarm for Saturdays is 5:30 because I work in the morning rather than the afternoon on Saturday. I had coffee in my hand when my alarm went off! LOL. I also don't do my fasted workouts on Saturday morning, not enough time. It's amazing how quickly you can slip into a routine. My morning stuff is short, 10 minute dumbell workout on my shoulders....I'm up to 5lb weights now the 2s got too easy. I can feel my bicep under my skin, it's getting a hump in the middle instead of being smooth and flacid. Improvement! Yoga has moved up to 27 minutes! I can get up off the floor now with the assistance of a chair, again improvement! Bike ride will increase to 25 minutes on Sunday. I've been averaging 7 miles in 20 minutes. I usually take a 20 minute walk with the dogs, but not on Saturday, I may increase that next week, but I have a 14 year old chihuahua that has congestive heart failure who gets winded and coughing after the 20 minutes. I may have to make her stay home if I extend the walk. All in all, I feel pretty great for not having eaten anything for 6 days. I'm not dead, not suffering, not weak and best of all not hungry. I am looking forward to my next meal, I have gotten all kinds of great ideas for my upcoming 4 days of eating from you guys. I go shopping today and I have my list ready 😁 You guys have a fast-astic day!

You go Deb! You are inspiring me to get a little more organized about exercise, beyond my walking and gardening. In the heat of the summer the gardening trails off.

Yay for EF! You keep taking little chihuahua on those walks. You can pick her up when she gets winded. Since you lost 18 lb, you can handle carrying 7 🙂

Okay fasting crew, who's in for a 30 day carnivore BBB&E challenge (beef, butter, bacon and eggs)? Should it be a public challenge, an invitation challenge or a group. Please way in, so I can post it.

It can include any amount of fasting or none.

Some only use the app, so I suggest posting at the website and also generating interest in Zen and your journals (also Deb if she is joining) as well as comments for people that expressed interest in carnivore. I also suggest spelling out BBB&E (Beef, Bacon, Butter & Eggs) for those who don't know. I had to Google it.

@Erika... I'm not too experienced in creating challenge & only use the app. I'm sure however you decide to do it will be fine.

You've been making great headway with your weight loss! Some of youI have made me think about going on a >24 hour fast myself, but I haven't made that commitment yet. My husband doesn't support it (he's a blessed mesomorph that gets ripped just by abstaining from beer and chocolate!), and I tend to give into hunger around 16 hours. I also do strenuous workouts and don't want to give up my pre and post workout drinks because I think those may throw off a fast.

LOL @ Lady D, she's about 5 lbs tiny little thing, she was my Mom's oddly enough she has the same disease that ultimately took my Mom. Bad thing is, if I pick her up, my beloved ChiWeenie Iris will want to be picked up too, she's a heavy girl at 14 lbs. Then I would not have any hands for the leashes of the other 3 and Bella, my RatChi, she's the epileptic, I would have to put everyone else down if she has a seziure. She was in the middle of one yesterday when it was time for me to go to work, that's why I missed getting my electrolytes into my water. 😢 I hurt so for her when she has one. Thanks guys for the encouragement! I just got home from shopping....got my chicken livers 😘😘😘 and my refrigerator is stuffed full of lettuces, tomatoes, avocados, green onions, cucumber, shitake mushroom, baby bellas, cabbage, eggs, cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, salsa. All the goodies that go well with meat 😁 Hubby went with me and only tossed in a half gallon of milk and some pastries and crackers, he did not even glance at the ice-cream freezer this time around. I can resist the milk, but not the ice-cream. If it's in the house, I'm done. He runs to the convenience store two miles away and gets him a pint when he can't stand it anymore and that's fine with me. He eats it and it's gone! Guys, I'm gonna pass on the BBB&E this time around, I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines. I'm gonna do my tweaks of dropping the carbs by 5% and increasing my protein a few notches. This time around, I'm focusing on creating eating habits that I can sustain for life. I love meat and I get plenty of fat from meat sources, but I also love all of the veggies I listed that were on my shopping list and so does my hubby. So now I go back to my 72 hour weekly fasts and my 12/12 nightly fasts, 4 days of eating Low carb-HF and somewhat higher protein. I had determined that I would continue that routine for a few months. I may incorporate one 5 to 7 day fast per month, just to keep my body alert.

My brother has 2 dogs, one less active and older, he starts his walk with both and does a smaller loop (calls it the warm up) then drops Sophie off at the house and takes off again for a longer bit faster walk with Logan.

@Redrose54, that's a great idea! Baby Girl would have no issues going back inside while we continued our walk. I will have to give it a try!

Aw, my heart ❤️ I know how much our mongrels love their walks.

Am i reading this right- you haven’t eaten in 6 days?
15 Jul 23 by member: tjvoigts
Yeah otb123 132 hours! 🔥 I can never lol
15 Jul 23 by member: kimmykim123
You are reading it correctly, I am now at 142 and a half hours fasted

My hair would grow in like straw if I went this long without daily vitamins & protein. Another woman on FS fasted for a month+ and her hair fell out afterwards. Would just be attentive to everything (eyes, skin, hair, nails) and make sure you're popping daily multivitamins. Regarding the dog walks -- you could always carry the pup once she starts to falter.
