Many other things can effect weight, not just calories in and burned. Things you do today, don't necessarily show on your body the next day. It can take weeks of hard work to see progress sometimes. It's also natural for our weight to stay the same sometimes. Just keep going and you will see results.

Ouch! But it's normal, I'll be back a little later (simple math is still working :-) ).

Hey Hey...simple math man here and I am going to beat the drum on a very familiar theme..unfortunately the math takes longer to work than the scale. You can weigh in every minute and unfortunately you're body can't adjust that fast. I always imagine a shower facet with a really long pipe...when I adjust the heat up, I still get the cold water in the pipe...so I adjust it more (right a way) and still cold so, a bit more and than WHAM...really hot water comes out. This is the same thing. So my bet is that you have been a little off track for a while and the scale wasn't registering (no hot water) then you got a bit more off track (turned the knob again)...still nothing...than you turned the knob a lot (pig out and bad day) and than WHAM. Now the problem is the pipe is full of hot water. You are turning it down...(a 660 Kcal day) and still hot..so you'll turn it down again...and suddenly WHAM..179. Turn it down slowly....be good and give it a week and see where you are. On Simple Math. Trust me it works...it has to..its a Thermodynamic Fact. (This of course assumes really good estimates of Kcals in and Kcals out) I also always remember a quote from Lance Armstrong...winning the Tour de France he said was really just a big math problem.

Jim I know you are right and I am not giving up on the mathematical equation just impatient I guess and a little mad at myself.

Yes, Jim seems to have wrapped it up rather nicely. Go find something else to stress about, your weight is not a problem. ;-) I'm glad you seem to have had such a good time. That is where your focus should be. Relax and don't be mad at yourself moose, be proud of yourself, you are doing everything well.

I have heard this is more damaging. I was tempted today to go very low calorie because I have a wedding tomorrow (yes, 9/9/9) anyway... idk whats true, works for some and others well.. lets say i'd rather eat and dwell on why i wasn't well behaved for the weekend (other than TOM being around lol) i have not tried that low cals EVER so idk if it would work for me anway.

btw!! don't be so upset, stress will add or hold the weight lol i think! don't be discouraged, it will fall right off! drink your water, and eat healthy... july 29 you showed a loss everyday after that!! :D

I'm sure you'll show a loss tomorrow. It's not what you do for one day/meal, it's what you do for 21 meals. Go high and then low. But not too low or your body will think it's in starvation mode and hold on to all it can.

Life happening is never "nothing" - remember, the quote is: "It's always something!"- Emily Latella's mother.

Forgive yourself. You are beating yourself up over something that happened that you can not change. You knwow what you did, what the effect was and learned from it. That is all you can hope to do. You are now back on track. Be kind to yourself and treat yourself as a dear friend-you are your own best friend really and if you treat yourself as you would a friend that came to you with the same "issue" you would not tell her to fret and worry over what has happened. Let go! Know things will improve and give yourself time. :) {{{hugs}}}
