Diana 1234's Journal, 12 September 2022

This was a surprise as I haven't been too attentive with what I'm eating lately. My mom is still here and is doing pretty good. She has one or two good days and then a bad one. Yesterday was not that good. She woke up dizzy and her speech was a bit jumbled. She has mini strokes but this didn't seem that bad. ( the Dr told us that we just need to be watchful when these happens as not much they can do at her age) I took her blood pressure and it was a bit high so we just kept an extra watch on her. She did seem better by the afternoon. Will monitor her today and hopefully it's better.
On her good days we continue to have talks about her life..she has an amazing will.
Enjoy your week , we are having some much needed rain..💜💜

Diana, I'm so glad your mom is there with you at this time in her life. I treasure those days I was able to spend with my mother when her health began to deteriorate. Wishing you both all the best. 💖

Shirl, thank you. I'm trying to get as much time in as possible. I know that time is limited and I just want her last days to be filled with good memories.💜🙏

Erq, thanks. It's a bit scary when she has her "episodes" but at 95 she is doing pretty well. I can't believe how she can remember something that happened to at 10 years old but she can't remember what she did yesterday. Her long term memory is still pretty good.💜💜💜💜

Your comments about your mom reminds me of my dad. He died in 2016 at 91. His long term memory was fine. He always remembered me when I'd visit and knew the names of his children and grandchildren. But his short term memory was awful. I'd ask him what he had for lunch if I visited after lunch. He'd say he didn't remember but knew it was good. It's nice your mom can talk about the past. My dad pretty much stopped making conversation, he'd just listen.

Fritzy, My mom and I are both talkers so our house is always filled with conversation..(my husband is quite shy so I'm sure he just " loves" all the talking .lol) Your dad lived a long life and it's great he still knew all your names. My mom does get confused anout who are her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Becca, thank you. It is a special time for sure!💜. Navywife, Thanks, we are enjoying our time!💜. Estein, thanks! Bless you for your kind comments!!💜🙏
