Hubby mowed the side yard & set up our new hose storage box. I pulled weeds/ grass out of the side gardens & watered some plants.

Washed 2 loads of laundry.

Then watched 2 episodes of The Split. One left 😢

Sometimes I find comments on my food posts interesting & amusing. Like saying I shouldn't eat fruit or cheese 🙄 I post what I actually eat. It works for me. I try to eat a balanced diet with lots of healthy foods but I also throw in a few treats like a cookie, ice cream, cake. I think you have to allow yourself an indulgence every now & again....for me it's daily cause I'm in maintenance. Even when I was losing I allowed myself dessert. It was usually something lower calorie. If I comment on someone's journal I don't know, I like to look at their background & see who they are & where they are in their weight loss journey.

Steak for dinner. I have left over spaghetti squash au gratin that I think we'll have with it.
142.0 lb Lost so far: 30.8 lb.    Still to go: 7.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Some people enjoy being the food police. They like to tell others what to eat. I am very picky so I have never been able to follow most diets.

If you post pix of food, people will comment 😕. @Mermee, you used to not eat dairy, so you know it’s not a death sentence. A lot of people are lactose intolerant or have to watch their saturated fat intake, doctor’s orders. I get told to eat meat even though I don’t post any pictures of food! ((Shrugs))

I don’t know why you went vegan before, but there are dieters here who don’t eat certain foods for religious or ethical reasons, too. But with over half of the members being on medication for various problems, I would never jump to the conclusion that they can eat anything so long as it’s under x#calories. Ultimately it’s their and their family’s problem and responsibility.

It used to annoy me when someone sanctimoniously told me not to eat certain food groups, my portion was huge, I'd never lose weight eating that...Now, I don't let it get to me. Like I said it amuses me. I understand some people are intolerant of certain foods and have allergies. Or they may just not like some foods. I feel bad if someone has been convinced for whatever reason if you don't eliminate a food group you're never going to lose weight. Or healthy foods like fruit are bad for you. If someone asks for advice, I'll offer input.

@Sherry: that guy Larry who picked apart your plate had just started the Zone Diet and had specifically asked for ideas. @Mermee: most all members discuss their ailments and meds on FS. No one is forcing anyone to do anything, including taking the advice of their own doctor . Just like Sherry, they can ignore, delete, or comment. If everyone’s comments upset you, just scroll by.
