after yesterday's big lunch I was so full that I didn't snack the rest of the day and wasn't even hungry for dinner. came home after a long day of work ate a banana chugged some black coffee with creatine and summoned the energy to hit the weights. had a great session and was able to add almost all my barbell push day exercises back into the mix without any of the elbow pain I had been dealing with in the weeks past. it felt so good to do flat, incline ,and decline bench with the barbell again and not just dumbells. ended up having to add extra plates on the decline and incline from what I had been doing prior to the Injury wohooo... finished the workout with a double scoop of protein powder to try and fix my macros for the day and went to bed without any extra snacking or getting called out again and between no dinner the workout and getting in over 18k steps for the day I actually ended the day in a slight deficit. I still slept like shit according to my garmin and my resting heart rate was up a full 11bpm from my normal bradycardia range of 47 now up to 58 but I'm sure once the stress goes back down a bit I'll be back to normal. today is a new day and it's my son's 6th birthday 🎂 he has requested flank steak and to go to the local orchard for homemade red raspberry soft serve ice cream hopefully the stars align and I get to enjoy a nice evening with him without getting called back out but I'm not holding my breath on that one. and im down a pound from yesterday too now that's just funny right there

Your glycogen and sodium was probably quite full makes for a good lift session. Props for the will power to do it on 13 hour days! 💪

Thanks superman im sure my sodium Intake was drastically above normal. Carbs around the same but from different sources than normal. You maybe be onto something with the different carb sources and lifting energy so i may need some more experimentation with that only without all thay added fats of this meal. Could make my own steak fries and do them in the air fryer instead of fried in oil hmmmm

Yea I make my own steak fries. No oil. Cut up them potatoes, boil for 5 minutes or so, drain, add seasoning and shake it up good. The pieces of the breakups from the potatoes will crisp up nicely in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 350

Also just saw a TikTok on mashed potatoes with only seasoning and an egg! I tried it and it was not too shabby

I'm deffintly going to try that superman we don't even have any potatoes in the house right now lol we haven't eaten them in many months.

Thanks ARE I'm pushing through and can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Getting a good workout in really helped me mentally even more so then physically last night

NAVYWIFESKI thank you so much for thw bday wishes and as far as the ice cream this place is the bomb they make a different homemade flavor each month with whatever fruit is in season from their orchard and In the fall their soft serve pumpkin ice cream is the best ice cream of any type I have ever had.

My son made me crack up too with why he choose flank steak for his birthday dinner when I know homemade Mac and cheese is his favorite. His reasoning was he knows steak is extra good food to help grow big muscles....

Well I made it through dinner presents and pit for ice cream before I got called put again so that was nice to spend the time with my son now back to work ughhhhh lame
