Good job on the fasting blood sugar and new scale. Valentines was hard for me too.  

Well, you're not really 6 lbs heavier than you were, you just know with better accuracy. New normal. Carry on! You're doing great! 

What Erika said! You always weighed what you weighed. The scale just puts a number on it. That being said we just plain don't like for that number to go up....for ANY reason! It messes with that thing between our ears. 

Thanks for the encouragement! I think all the Valentine candy is gone, and I am resigning myself to the new scales! I was able to get some more gardening done this past weekend and saw the kale was emerging with tiny leaves. I hope this 7 day cold spell doesn't kill it. I have plants to set out after this "below freezing" weather is over. One peach tree that always blooms early has pink tipped buds, and I'm hoping it hasn't been damaged. Also some daffodils are blooming, so I took my mason bees out of cold storage and put them out to hatch. They should be put out when temps are average 55 degrees, but in north Texas where we have a roller coaster of weather in the 70s and in the 20s in February, it is a gamble to figure out. This is the first time I've tried to establish them, so I am trying just a small handful right now.
