Good morning! It was supposed to drop down to single digits last night and lo and behold it did. Fortunately every time I woke up last night I stumbled down the stairs and threw on a few more logs so the house is quite pleasant this morning.

Today is a no driving day. Well I do have to drive to work but that's it. I drove a lot yesterday and it wore me out! But the day was gorgeous, chilly but beautiful with clear blue skies! Lovely to see the snow capped mountains gleaming against the blue, same with the lake. Everything simply sparkled!

Inching closer to mini goal #1. Almost there. It occurred to me I can't weigh in on Friday as I'll be out of town at the training. Also, conference food. That means pastries I the am, lunch, cookies in the pm. I MUST not eat simply because the food is there! I can weigh in Saturday morning.

Well I seem to be drawing a blank so I guess I will sign off for now. Take good care of yourselves and I shall continue to do the same.

Good morning! Take a bag and mini cooler to the conference with your healthy stuff like pecans, dried coconut, radishes, celery, almond butter, yogurt. You will feel so much better when you have to sit through lectures not having eaten the crap they will serve...but maybe you will be surprised and they will have some healthier choices. DH came downstairs this morning while I was making coffee to announce it was zero outside this morning. But I am like you and if the sun is shining all is well and it is still shining today just like yesterday. We have no fire place but wish we did during these winters but I don't think I would like to clean up after one. HUGS!

Hopefully there will be some fruit and nuts. Maybe yogurt? I find choosing the yogurt and almonds get's me thru the morning w/o the need for the bear-claw ((gosh, now I want a bear-claw... or an apple fritter.. HUSH!)) Avocados are a great 'carry along' - just slice and eat out of the shell ... and helps get thru those snack times without reaching for the cookies. Good luck!

Great ideas! I haven't been eating breakfast so I did think I would just bring my greens and mix them in water and avoid the buffet table like the plague! Lunch I'm hoping there is enough healthy choices. I think it's a taco bar one day and a soup and salad bar the next. If I have time I'll stop and buy an avocado or something like you two suggested. Just in case my cravings overtake me and I get weak!
