Lunch with my sister today. We always have a good time catching up. We went to a Japanese resteraunt close to where she works. we have been before. I checked the menu online beforehand to look at Sushi choices. Sushi menus sometimes confuse me , but they had several choices on their lunch menu. Each choice also came with soup or salad. I didn't really know the calories so I had to pick something comparable to log for lunch. I ate more than I thought (calorie wise)....maybe the rice?? Or I estimated high. It was all good. I only had coffee & fruit for breakfast...saving a few extra calories for lunch.
I needed to get something to take for Book Club tomorrow night & wanted to get some more scented Reed diffusers so I went to Target. We also needed coffee & Target didn't have the brand Hubby likes so I stopped at Wal-Mart. Was gonna pick up some wine but they were out of our usual so I picked up a box of Blackbox Malbec. When I went thru the checkout it rang up $2 higher than the tag on the shelf. The customer service guy said he was unable to adjust prices on alcohol....so I asked if a Mgr. could. He got a bit snippy with me, said no & asked if I wanted the wine. I said no....Went back to the shelf & snapped a pic with my phone & went to the Customer service desk. They told me the same thing...so on principle I didn't buy it. Not about the $2. What was interesting & I didn't think about it til later...I bought a pack of Hard Seltzer at Target. I asked the cashier if it discounted them for the $3 off (sign on shelf) when she rang them up or did she need to scan my Target app on my phone. (Kinda like a grocery store loyalty card). She said they rang up $ 1 off & then she adjusted the price for the $3 off. (So I got $4 off). Different county....different company. I don't think I was unreasonable 😐 I did get extra steps in 😁👣👣👣
I forgot to take something out to defrost for dinner, so I think I'll cut up the one leftover sausage link in the fridge, add some black beans, canned tomatoes & have it on either pasta or rice. Maybe Hubby won't realize he's only getting 1/2 of a sausage for dinner 😏
We had a quick rain shower this afternoon. When I got in my car after leaving Target the thermometer read 104°!! After the rain it read 77° After it rained on Sunday afternoon I was sitting on the deck reading. It got so chilly I went & got a throw to cover up...it was either that or put on more clothes.
Need to go see if Hubby is planning to walk today.
