This morning's weigh in blew up my conjecture for yesterday. Although my calories were not high yesterday, most of them were consumed later in the day.

I didn't sleep great last night. I started reading my Book Club book when I went to bed. I was closing in on the end & didn't want to put it down til I finished. When I closed the cover at the end I thought..."What a disturbing book!" I like mysteries & read them often but the main character committed multiple murders and he should have been a "good guy". For goodness sake...he was an accountant!

I also received a message from my daughter in law very late & without going into it, it kept me from sleeping, too. I try to love her...she is after all my son's wife....but more often than not I feel aggravated by her. And in truth she didn't do anything wrong last night....but her past behavior colors everything.

So today I'm not feeling especially energetic. My tummy was a little off this morning again...but felt OK after we ate breakfast. I decided to skip the yoga/ exercise routine.

Someone in our neighborhood has been setting off fireworks. They scare one of our dogs...all loud noises do...so she probably won't want to walk far if she hears them.

I started making pillow covers for some of my older outdoor pillows. I decided to throw them in the washer before I covered them. I was pulling them out of the storage bin on our deck & was startled by a mouse!!🐀🐭 It sat there looking at me 😯 We always used scented dryer sheets in our trailer to keep the mice out, so I threw a couple in the bin to chase this guy off. We live in the woods so any type of wildlife is not a huge surprise.

We're having Sirloin steaks for dinner. I have leftover green beans so I think they'll be the side. Hubby & I shared the Tortilla Soup I brought home for lunch.


142.8 lb Lost so far: 30.0 lb.    Still to go: 7.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I'm currently reading The Stand. I don't read often- maybe one book a year- but when I do they are big books. Read 11/22/63 prior to this and loved it. May read War and Peace next. ;)

I read books like I breath. I always have at least one on my bedside table. Whenever I finish a book, it must be immediately replaced with another or I feel anxious. 📚👓❤ I've been that way since I was 9 years old.😊
