Our weather report/forecast seems convinced we're getting snow this evening, this time around. We're also getting rain & sleet. So for us it means we should get prepared for a possible power outage. We're all electric & on a well. So filling the bathtub, making sure we have bottled water and wood for the fireplace are all important. I also made sure I'd had a shower. We do have a generator but it's not big enough to run the whole house. We make sure the fridge is powered & we can run small appliances....coffee maker, toaster, etc. And charge our phones. I'd like to see some snow but hopefully we don't lose power.

I put out peanuts for the birds this morning. A herd of squirrels showed up...hogging most of them...so I had to put out more for the Titmice. The crows showed up as well but they hang out in the trees waiting for any that may fall to the ground. I saw a Blue Jay & a Wren, too but they didn't hang around long. The squirrels are amusing trying to stake out their territory & chase the others away. They are annoying when they eat all the peanuts & don't share.

Hubby wanted steaks for dinner so I'm defrosting a New York strip. I asked if he was going to barbecue it on the grill. I told him he should...even if it's snowing & we can send a photo to our nephew in Canada who does barbecue in the snow 😊🌨❄🥩

I took a break to have a little snack & read. Time to go get my Chili on.

We are supposed to get rain and snow off and on over the next week or so. It rained today then snowed then rained some more. Hubby said freezing rain at the end and it froze our truck windows shut. Nothing to measure yet though. A bit more tomorrow, some next week and some the week after. With temps at -5 next week ugh. I hate anything below 50 lol but anything below 35 has my hands hurting. But I shiver more and usually have a slight weight loss if I eat normally during the really cold days. 😆

Ladyt, I fluctuate up & down depending on what I ate & activity for the day. I have a 5 lb. range that I'm usually in.
